Coronavirus update Spain: Confirmed cases rose by 5,252 to 188,068

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Spain increased by 5,252, or 2.9%, on Friday to 188,068. This reading marked the biggest increase in five days, head of health emergencies Fernando Simon said at a news conference.

Meanwhile, the death toll in the country increased to 19,478 from 19,130 in the last 24 hours, as reported by Reuters.
