Government amendment results: Accepted 321-278

This was an amendment to match Spelman's working and to call the government to rule out a no deal under any scenario.

What does this mean?

May had apparently told her party to vote against the amended motion and thus, ministers voting against the government whip, would be expected to resign; Sarah Louise Newton has already resigned as a minister. 

May will ask for a Brexit delay of about two months, possibly today. However, she's unlikely to get a formal reply from the EU until next week's summit.
