FXStreet (Edinburgh) - Flemming Nielsen, Senior Analyst at Danske Bank, said geopolitical concerns would keep markets cautious.

Key Quotes

“Focus will continue on developments in Ukraine where turmoil has spread and turned more deadly over the weekend. Markets in both the UK and Japan are closed for bank holidays today”.

“Despite a decent labour market report in the US on Friday, market sentiment has failed to improve partly because geopolitical uncertainty in Ukraine continues to weigh on the market”.

“After an initial increase, US bond yields have declined in the wake of the labour market report and USD has also weakened. Stock markets are also lower across the board this morning”.
