Analysts at Nomura offered their model's projection for the USD/CNY fix.

"Our model1 projects the fix to be 111 pips lower than the previous fix (6.4001 from 6.4112) and 35 pips lower than the previous official spot USD/CNY close of 6.4036. The basket implied change is 42 pips lower than the previous official spot USD/CNY close (6.3994 from 6.4036)."
