Global wrap: US yields the highest level since April 201 - ANZ

With it being a very quiet day to kick off the week, with no data, analysts at ANZ reflect on the recent key events in last week's close.

"Global equities finished last week higher with the USD and JPY strengthening. Oil prices consolidated and sovereign bond yields continued to climb."

"Equities finished the week in the green with European bourses up 0.4-1.2% and US indices up 0.2-0.6%. The USD strengthened against all in the G10 except JPY, with CAD underperforming."

"Treasury yields continued their gradual climb with 10-year yields reaching 2.66%, the highest level since April 2014. Yields in Europe were biased lower.
