China’s ForeignMin: China welcomes efforts to improve ties on Korean peninsula

China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang was on the wires last minutes, via Reuters, stating that it welcomes and supports concrete efforts to improve ties on the Korean peninsula.

The statement comes after the South and North Korean officials agreed to hold talks next week for the first time in more than two years.
