US: Third quarter final GDP revised up to 3.5%

US gross domestic product expanded at an annual rate of 3.5% in the third quarter, the Commerce Department said Thursday.  

The reading was upwardly revised from the previous 3.2% estimate, marking strongest quarterly pace of growth in two years and sharply up from the final 1.4% advance in the second quarter. Expectations were for a 3.3% growth.
