US stocks close the week higher, DJIA sets fresh closing high

US stocks closed higher for third consecutive week, with the DJIA advanced slightly for a fourth straight session of record closing highs.

The DJIA gained 10.14 points, or 0.1%, to close at 18,516.55, a fresh high, posting a 2% weekly gain. The S&P 500 fell 2.01 points, or 0.1%, to close at 2,161.74, still up 1.5% over the week. The Nasdaq edged down 4.47 points, or 0.1%, to finish at 5,029.59, for a weekly gain of 1.5%.
