Wall Street recovers earlier losses and posts solid gains
FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - The US stocks market recovered from earlier losses on Wednesday and closed the day with gains as investors were fueled by Macy's better than expected earnings report and the optimism about the incoming shopping season.
In addition, the market is betting on a dovish tone by Janet Yellen in her testimony on Thursday.
The Dow Jones advanced 70.96 points or 0.45% on the day to close the session at 15,821.63; The S&P 500 added 14.31 pts or 0.81% to close at record high at 1,782.00; the Nasdaq Composite rallied 45.66 points or 1.16% to end the day at 13 year high of 3,965.58.
