EUR/USD retreats further, hits fresh lows under 1.1400
FXStreet (Córdoba) - Greenback gained momentum across the board during the American session and rose further against European currencies trimming yesterday’s losses. EUR/USD printed a fresh daily low under 1.1400 as stocks in Wall Street reach new highs. The Dow Jones was up 2.30% and the Nasdaq 3.20%.
EUR/USD down more than 300 pips from Monday’s highs
A day ago the pair reached at 1.1720 the highest level since January, afterwards pulled back and now has fallen more than 300 pips from those highs. Recently bottomed at 1.1395, level locate slightly above Friday’s closing price.
The US dollar recovered most of losses against the euro. EUR/USD declined as much as it rose, increasing the chances of a reversal.
EUR/USD levels to watch
To the downside, the immediate support could be seen at 1.1390 (August 21 high) and below here at 1.1345 and 1.1290. On the flip side, resistance now could be located at 1.1450, 1.1520 and 1.1580.
