‘Grexit’ probability at 65% – SocGen

FXStreet (Barcelona) - Kit Juckes of Societe Generale, views that with Grexit speculation rising, the conference call between Eurogroup Finance Ministers will be key to see how the probability of a Greek exit from the Eurozone shifts.

Key Quotes

“SG Economics puts the chances of ‘Grexit' at 65% and we will see how that shifts today when Finance Ministers hold a conference call to discuss the request for ESM support before Greece submits an austerity proposal tomorrow. In the meantime, the Euro has bounced back from its lows just above 1.09 and Bund yields have bounced from 62bp. But I would not be surprised to see nerves stretched again, with short-dated Euro volatility spiking and investors heading to the safety of the Bund (and the yen).”
