Schaueble rejects talks before Greek referendum

FXStreet (Mumbai) - Germany’s Schaueble reiterated German chancellor Angela Merkel’s stance that Greek deal talks before the June 5 referendum makes no sense.

Schaueble added that Greece is engaged in diversionary measure. There are also reports that the proposals contained in Tsipras’ letters may be opposed by some members.

Greek PM Tsipras is scheduled to give a public address shortly.

DAX jumps over 2% on Tsipras bailout

Germany’s benchmark index, the DAX bounced-back sharply, snapping previous declines and rallied higher tracking other European indices following media reports that Greece is ready to accept bailout conditions, although with certain changes.
