EMU: Annual CPI grows 1.6% in June, as expected

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Eurostat informed today that Eurozone annual inflation increased 1.6% in June, up from the 1.4% growth registered the previous month. This result is in line with projections. On a monthly basis CPI ticked up 0.1% in June, after climbing 0.1% in May, as expected.

Year-over-year Core CPI grew 1.2% in June, following 1.2% in May, according to forecasts.

The German ZEW Survey – Economic Sentiment fell to 36.3 points in July, from 38.5 points in June, the Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung reported today. Market consensus pointed to an increase to 39.6 points.
